What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
If L6 is being filled manually then you will need a macro.
If L6 is being filled by a CF formula, then you can use that formula to determine if L6 is red

Hello than you for your response there is also text in the cells that would say - Extreme (Category 1) (Red Event) and also - Major (category1) (red event)

Can it be pulled by text?

Iwas only asking about one row and I would drag the analysis down

With regard to the formula you posted in your op, how do you want to change it if L6 contains the word "red"?

Hi
At present I am counting days between 2 columns

I would only like to count the number of days between that is coloured red from column L and to ignore others do you think this is possible? or to count the red cells that have certain text in it which is:

Extreme - (Category 1) (Red Event) and Major (Category 1 ) (Red Event)

Thank you so much for ay help.
