How would I word an IF statement if there was anything entered into a cell then....?

example: 8/15/04, or 9/25/03, etc. If something (a date) was entered into a cell then...versus if there wasn't anything in the cell than it would go to the next row.

Thanks,
Dave

I don't know what this means:

But if you want to make sure that a cell contains something you could use the ISBLANK() function; a blank cell will return TRUE, otherwise, FALSE.

=if(not(isblank(A1)),"what ever","something else") or

=if(A1<>"","what ever","something else")

Hello,

Usually LenB() is your fastest option to test for null strings, in VB[A] anyway, e.g.,

=IF(LENB(A1),"Yep","Nope")

Might be dangerous comparing VB[A] to Excel functions, but I'll post it anyway... :-P
