IF statement condition row by row until satisfied

Good day,

is there a way to make an IF statement, row per row? The condition is that A2 is blank, then if will look at A3, if still blank, it will proceed to A4, etc.

With VBA, yes !
But what do you want to happen if A2.....is NOT blank ??

Hi,

Basically here is what I want to do:

1) I have for 5 fruits: apple, banana, grapes, lemon and strawberry
2) I have the whole month of April, 1 to 30th, cells A1, A2, ~ A30
3) On B1 the value will be apple until B30 and then on A31 the date will be April 1 again and on B31 will now be banana

The question is, what will be my formula on columns A and B?
