IF Function

I am using an the IF Function to return £6.00:
like this:
IF(G25="0YEARS 0MONTHS 0DAY/S","£6.00")
but excel dosen't seem to like the numbers and letters together any help is much appreciated.

What is the shortcut key for Format Selection?
Ctrl+1 (the number one) will open the Format dialog for whatever is selected.
Why not just use

=IF(F25=E25,"£6.00")

Also you could have problems if you want to total cash values later, "£6.00" will not be recognised as a number if you want to add it to anything later. You would need to enter it in the formula as 6.00 or just 6 , no " or £, then change the cell format to currency.
