I am an excel user trying to learn Access. I have a query in which I want to create a calculation that would act like an Excel IF function however I can't seem to get Access to recognize the statement:

MTO: (IF([Facility 01 Avail]>[Facility 53 Required],[Facility 53 Required],[Facility 53 Required]-[Facility 01 Avail]))

It accepts it when I save, but gives me an error when I run the query. Any way to make the IF function work in my query??

thanks for any tips,

tg

Excel Facts

Formula for Yesterday
Name Manager, New Name. Yesterday =TODAY()-1. OK. Then, use =YESTERDAY in any cell. Tomorrow could be =TODAY()+1.
Try the IIF statement. It's syntax is the same as Excel's IF statement:-
