Hello,

I am trying to use an IF formula to compare the values in two adjacent cells.

here is the formula

=IF(E2>=D2,"Goal Met","Repeat Day")

The values in E2 and D2 are both percentages (displayed XX%)

the cells are formatted as percentage

However, no matter what score is enter in E2 is will return the False ("Repeat Day")

Any thought on why?

Thanks,

Excel Facts

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
What do these two formulas return?
=ISNUMBER(D2)
=ISNUMBER(E2)

D2 = FALSE
E2 =TRUE

I should have mentioned that. D2 is a populated (based on an IF formula) number based on C2.

I got it figured out. I have it return a decimal now. Thank you!

That says that the value being returned in D2 is NOT numeric.
Can you post your IF formula? You may be returning as text value instead of numeric.
