IF and Len Function Help

hello all,

I need help with the funtion I am able to do len first and then if function but i cannot get them to work together.

I need a function that can take the Length of the numbers in cell B17 and if greater than or equal to 8, display a value of "Cusip" If the length is less than or equal to 7, display a value of "Sedol" in column C.

Try:
=If(LEN(B17)>=8,"Cusip","Sedol")

This worked! Thank you very much I was stuck on that for awhile. Just couldn't get the two functions to work together. I owe you one!
