Excel Facts

Copy a format multiple times
Select a formatted range. Double-click the Format Painter (left side of Home tab). You can paste formatting multiple times. Esc to stop
The IF arguments should be like: IF(AND(1st condition,2nd condition),Value if True,Value if false)
Rich (BB code):
=IF(AND('Fixtures and Results'!A4=local!A6,'Fixtures and  Results'!c4=local!b6),'Fixtures and Results'!F4,local!A101,'Fixtures and  Results'!I4,"")
the bit in red is the part Excel sees as too many arguments.

'=IF(AND('Fixtures and Results'!A4=local!A6,'Fixtures and Results'!c4=local!b6),'Fixtures and Results'!F4,local!A101) ???? ->,'Fixtures and Results'!I4,"")

If both conditions in red are met then return value in green, otherwise return value in blue
Your formula has an extra 2 values

- what is the condition that should be satisfied ?
- what should be returned if TRUE ?
- what should be returned if FALSE ?

Previous reply says pretty much the same thing. I must learn to type faster!;)

If all these are met '=IF(AND('Fixtures and Results'!A4=local!A6,'Fixtures and Results'!c4=local!b6),'Fixtures and Results'!F4,local!A101) then it returns the answer from I4 i know it only does the red highlighted once so is there a formula that could do this?

=IF(AND('Fixtures and Results'!A4=local!A6,'Fixtures and Results'!c4=local!b6),AND('Fixtures and Results'!F4,local!A101),'Fixtures and Results'!I4,"")) i included another AND but it gave me #Value!

Did you mean:

Rich (BB code):
=IF(AND('Fixtures and Results'!A4=local!A6,'Fixtures and Results'!c4=local!b6,'Fixtures and Results'!F4=local!A101),'Fixtures and  Results'!I4,"")
