I have a table that has a column for id's that are auto generated when a new record is added.
There were sequential up to 3107 and have jumped to 3112. Now when a record is added they increment by 2 instead of 1 can any one help me figure out the problem? Looking at the table now it jumped from 3112 to 3121.

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
I'm assuming that this is an AutoNumber field and not something that was custom made? If so, then open the table in Design view and check the 'New Values' property. It should be set to 'Increment', but may have been changed to 'Random'.

Autonumbers are not good if you need to keep sequential numbers. They are designed to give unique numbers, which they do well, but if someone deletes a record or hits escape to cancel a form after opening a new record you will get gaps in the sequence.
