I would like to add a percentage to a sum but all in one cell

So basically this seems really simple but its driving me nuts ! I have two cell references and I want to add 20% to the sum of the cell. The calculation is simple, its =sum(H2*E8) but after that I want to add 20% for VAT to the total. All and any help would be most appreciated. Thanks !

Are you adding cells H2 and E8 (that would be the "sum" of those cells) or multiplying them (that would be the "product" of those cells)?

If multiplying them, to add an additional 20%, use:

=H2*E8*1.2

If adding them, to add an additional 20%, use:

=(H2+E8)*1.2
