I need help with Visual Basic

Hi guys,
I recently downloaded "Microsoft Visual Studio Express Edition 2008" and my question is this:
How can I make executable applications using that program? How/Can I make complicated programs say like "MS Excel", "Jet audio player" or "Photoshop"...?
Well not that complicated but also not simple ones like the "Hello world form" lol, And can I create games using this application?
For example, Not every program is just a form with wide options..
A URL, a book title or some advice would be a lot helpful.

Hi, if you google "Visual Studio Express 2008 Hello World" you will find many hits. You just probably include a keyword for your preferred language as well (VB.NET, C#, C++, or whatever). Running your program in the studio will be very easy to do. To create an executable, VS uses a "Publish" option. You can google for that too - How to create an exe with visual studio. I'm not familiar with games programming.
