I need help with percentages formula

hi , im trying to format some cells so i can get a percent showing a percentage increase or decrease from last year to this.

i.e. last year we had 4000 incoming shipments, This Year we have 16800 incoming shipments. what is the formula and is it different for every cell or is it the same and how many cells do i format?

exactly , thx but i forgot one thing - how do i get a percentage from a group of percentages

i.e. 300%
150%
600%
120%

total = ? %

if you mean for the total overall growth of this year from last year..... it would be ((this years shipments - last years shipments) / last years shipments)).......... pretty much the same as the month to month basis but combining all months together. I hope that helps.
