I need help with a formula

Hi I have been trying to work on a fomula to update a new tiered commission structure on my excel sheet and have been having some issues.

D4 is total sales
$9500 and under you receive 6% commission
Anything over $9500 you recieve 35% commission

If you make $10,000 for example...
It is ($9500*.06)+($500*.35) which would be $745 in commission

If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it.

=IF(D4<=9500,D4*0.06,9500*0.06+(D4-9500)*0.35)
