Hello Excel Experts!!

As I have no experience in coding whatsoever, I am here to seek assistance.
I am trying to create a function such I can hyperlink and open pdf files directly from an excel spreadsheet.

There is a Main Directory containing the "Excel file" and a Sub-folder containing all the pdf files. This Subfolder further has folders (namely as years e.g. 2017, 2018) to organize the PDFs.

Is there a way to create an excel function/VBA code to link files across the sub-folder directories. We plan to use different Excel sheets (namely as years e.g. 2017, 2018) to link to the respective directories in the subfolder.

It maybe that we need to re-run the code/function to refresh the hyperlinks. Also the names to PDF are following a series but some can have extensions e.g. Rev1, Rev2 and so on.

Looking for suggestiouns and solutions from the experts out there.

Many thanks!!
