I manage a team spreadsheet and there's a hyperlink to open a subfolder. It works fine on my computer and others next to me. My supervisor's computer though will not open the hyperlinked folder and gets the error message Unable to open ... Cannot download the information you requested.

Why does it work on ours but not hers?

Excel Facts

What do {} around a formula in the formula bar mean?
{Formula} means the formula was entered using Ctrl+Shift+Enter signifying an old-style array formula.
After confirming the Hyperlink actually Exists in the File
Bring up the Code Sheet for THISWORKWOOK and copy the below macro into it.
Save, Close the File and then REOPEN..

Code:
Private Sub Workbook_Open()
With Application
        .ScreenUpdating = False
        .DisplayAlerts = False
        .ScreenUpdating = True
End With
End Sub
