Hello,

Is there a way I can link the argument "friendly name" in "hyperlink" function to sheet name, in such a way that when the sheet name is changed the friendly name should also be updated automatically.

=HYPERLINK(link_location, [friendly_name])

I want to link [friendly_name] to a sheet name.

What did Pito Salas invent?
Pito Salas, working for Lotus, popularized what would become to be pivot tables. It was released as Lotus Improv in 1989.
Try this...
Code:
=HYPERLINK(link_location, [COLOR="Red"]MID(CELL("filename",[COLOR="Blue"]Sheet2!A1[/COLOR]),FIND("]",CELL("filename",[COLOR="Blue"]Sheet2!A1[/COLOR]))+1,256)[/COLOR])

Sheet2!A1 is any cell on the sheet you want the sheet name. The workbook must be a saved file for this to work.

Hello dear,

The formula you gave works fine, but it doesn't if there's a space in workbook name or sheet name. Any help on this.

Thanking in advance
