HTML add-in - formulas not displaying

Hi all,

HTML'd a spreadsheet using the add-in (v 2.10). The resulting .htm file worked OK - all formulas displayed etc. But formulas didn't display when I posted to the board.

My guess is that Colo & Ivan have added some aesthetics routines & the add-in will refuse to display anything it considers to be unnecessarily inelegant, thereby disqualifying all my code!

Any other ideas?

Paddy

Hi Paddy,

Please show us the html.
Post it on "test posting here".

I'll check it out.

Hi Paddy, me again.
All right. You are talking about following thread aren't you?
http://www.mrexcel.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=10409&forum=2

I've checked the HTML source and I found the cause.
I've expected this problem.
However, I did not think that it will be realized.

The cause by which this error took place is as follows.
Same object names were used in same thread.
I used the random number of 3 figures in the code, in order to avoid above situation.

But this time, The random number used by tagger post was the same as
the random number used by your post.
It is generated in the probability of 1/100.

So I'll update my code. (change 1/100 to 1/1000)

Thank you very much for your post.

Colo,

You got the right thread - would you recommend downloading a 'patched' version of the add-in or is it a sufficiently unlikely event not to worry too much?

Paddy

Yes thanks Jack that would be nice.

Colo, I have updated DK code to handle the
instance where Ol IS NOT installed...I thought I had this covered and then realised, thanks to Mark O'Brien that it doesn't actually do this.
I have changed it to Late binding.
See code @ MVP msgboard + I'll email you
