I would like to help somebody on the Board by sending an example. After so many succesful posts with this tool, I can't use it at the moment.

Error Referencing (Microsoft Scripting Runtime)

Error Number: =48
Error Descrp:= "Fout bij het laden van DLL" error loading DLL

You may have to manually set a reference to the (Microsoft Scripting Runtime).

Can somebody point me into a good direction please,

kind regards,
Erik

Re: HTLMmaker error referencing (Microsoft Scripting Runtime

Hello,

Did you try manually setting a reference to the 'Microsoft Scripting Runtime' library then?

Tools->References, check 'Microsoft Scripting Runtime'

Re: HTLMmaker error referencing (Microsoft Scripting Runtime

Nate,

Thank you for responding.
I didn't find what you said.

using dutch Excel

in the menu Tools (dutch = Extra) I've got just below "Macro" what I think you are refering to: "invoegtoepassingen"
in the next box there is among others
Analysis Toolpak
"something to use the €"
a "solver" item
there is a button "automatisation" (automatisering) clicking there ==> in that large list no Microsoft Scripting Runtime
the closest is "Microsoft Scriptlet Component"

perhaps I'll run the "restore Office setup" or however you call that in english

do you have other ideas for me?

regards
Erik

Erik, from Excel, pres Alt+F11 - this will put you in the Visual Basic Editor. From there, follow Nate's instructions.

Re: HTLMmaker error referencing (Microsoft Scripting Runtime

OK, tracy, thank you.
Should have thought about the "other" Tools-menu

I can't install this feature: error loading DLL
reinstalling Excel will fix it, I hope
(next week a disk-format and reinstalling everything is planned)

or do you guys have another solution?
can you send me the DLL :p

kind regards,
Erik

Re: HTLMmaker error referencing (Microsoft Scripting Runtime

Hello again Erik,

You're looking for a Visual Basic Project reference to scrrun.dll.

Search your hard drive for the file. When you're in your VBE (see Tracy's sapient advice), click into Tools -> References... Click 'Browse...' and point the aforementioned file (scrrun.dll).

It should be on your system. :)

Re: HTLMmaker error referencing (Microsoft Scripting Runtime

Thank you, Nate

That file isn't on my computer.
Some days ago I uninstalled some games, perhaps this DLL was deleted?

It will come back when I install Excel, I hope. Anyway, as said, a format is planned, Everything will work again  :p
(y)

thank you,
Erik

Re: HTLMmaker error referencing (Microsoft Scripting Runtime

I'm not sure if reinstalling Excel will help (it might):

You can obtain Scrrun.dll by installing one of the following packages:

Windows Script Host
Windows NT Option Pack
Microsoft Internet Information Server 3.0
Scripting 3.1 upgrade
Visual Studio 6.0
Visual Basic 6.0

Windows Script Host can be found here:
