For ease of inputting I have a number of columns where I input hrs as a decimal and mins as decimal, to save typing 0:45 for 45 mins I just input 45 and for hours just the number without the colon.
I am trying to total all of these by converting the sum of all the hours & minutes to a time format (that doesn't show 00:00 if the total is 24hrs exactly, but would show 24:00). For example, if the total hours = 28, and the total minutes = 130, I would like a separate cell to convert this into the time format and read 30:10.

Many thanks for your help,

Excel Facts

Format cells as date
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+3 to format cells as date. (Shift 3 is the # sign which sort of looks like a small calendar).
Assuming you already have a time conversion formula, just format the cell as [hh]:mm
