How would I seperate multiple numbers from a box score?

If I import a box score into my Excel spreadsheet it looks like the following:

At this point it is pretty easy to get the numbers to go where I want them to go into the spradsheet. However, items such as Completions-Attempts-Int, Fumbles: Number-Lost, Penalties: Number-Yards, PUNTS-YARDS, etc., have more than one number in the cell and they are seperated by a dash (-). How can I seperate these numbers (and eliminate the dash) into seperate cells?

For example, how can I seperate 18-23-1 so that it shows up in three different cells whereby I can than send those numbers to Completions, Attempts and Interceptions within the spreadsheet?

Save your sheet before using this or you risk overwriting stuff. Change the column to be whatever you want it to be.

1. Select the cells with the dashes
2. Under the "Data" toolbar (at the top) select "Text to Columns"
-Note, this works if you have 2007 or 2010. If you are working with 2003 or earlier, I think you have to go to "Tools" and then select "Text to Columns" but I may be wrong about that.
3. Select "Delimited" and hit "Next"
4. Check "Other", enter a dash in the box to the right of where you checked
5. Hit "Finish" and you're done!


Hope that helps!

Forgot to mention, this method will overwrite data if you're not careful. Be sure to separate the "Stan" and "VT" columns far enough away form each other so your data isn't overwritten.

For 1bound(a) to ubound(a)

And than I get a message box saying:

Compile error:

Expected: variable

There were two problems with the code I posted.

1) I left out the counter in the For loop.
2) "i" has to be at least 1 in order to iterate both the upper bound of the dynamic array "a" and the destination of the split elements.

Revised code:
