I have a day date time cell in a spread sheet I am trying to reference but want to sum if that date = my cell on another spread sheet

The cell on the other spread sheet is simply Nov-17. So I want it to match wher it is indeed from the relevant month regardless of day of month or time of day.

Thanks

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
Hi, something like this maybe?

Excel 2013/2016
ABCDE

Thanks
The exact formula is =SUMIFS([QCF.csv]QCF!$I:$I,[QCF.csv]QCF!$AF:$AF,D$8,[QCF.csv]QCF!$K:$K,"Confirmed")

Should have posted first in D$8 I have Nov-17
In AF Column I have 01/11/2017 hh:mm:ss

You'll need to add back the file references - but it would look something like..

=SUMIFS($I:$I,$AF:$AF,">="&D$8,$AF:$AF,"<"&EOMONTH(D$8,0),$K:$K,"Confirmed")
