I'm trying to use an activeX command button while the worksheet is locked to change the background cell color of some cells. The cells that I'm trying to color are not protected, but when the worksheet is in the locked state, I am unable to change the background color. Is there a way to use this command button while the worksheet is locked?

Thanks in advance,

Jeff

Hi Jeff,

In VBA help, have a look at the "UserInterfaceOnly" argument to the "Protect" method. That may enable you to do what you want.

Hope it helps.
