How to use AddressOf in VBA

I have a timer script from the web that uses the
Code:
AddressOf MySub
as the callback. Apparently it worked for the person who wrote it. However, it fails to compile at least under Excel 2013. Is this keyword and functionality still valid in VBA? In 64bit?

I can post the entire timer script if needed.

Thanks,

Excel Facts

Enter current date or time
Ctrl+: enters current time. Ctrl+; enters current date. Use Ctrl+: Ctrl+; Enter for current date & time.
Answer found. In 64bit the pointer to the callback function MUST be LongPtr.

Ex.
Code:
Public Declare PtrSafe Function SetTimer Lib "user32" ( _ ByVal HWnd As Long, _
    ByVal nIDEvent As Long, _
    ByVal uElapse As Long, _
ByVal lpTimerFunc As LongPtr) As Long
