How to use a query from another excel sheet

Hi all,

i struggle with the following:

file 1 is an excel file containing multiple tables. I use this file to manipulate these tables using power query. The final result of the query is a table, I further want to us in file 2. File 1 basically is an Intermediate file, file 2 contains The final result. It has a data model with a number of connections from multiple sources. How do I proceed now of I want to use the query from file 1 in the datamodel of file 2? Can I just Select the query by selecting file 1 in powerpivot

or do I have to copy the entire query from file 1 into file 2?
