How to type the sum symbol in Excel.
I'm reading these queries and I think you're actually trying to type the Sum symbol in Excel.
This thing called the Sigma.
It's easy to use the AutoSum.
It is hard to type this thing.
You're going to think I'm insane, but I think the actual easiest way to do it is equal UNICHAR(931).
Press the F9 key and there you have a Sigma.
There's other ways.
You can hold down the flying Windows Key and the period.
Which starts out with a bunch of emojis.
Come into the math section.
Scroll down, Scroll down, Scroll down, right there.
There are still other ways.
On the Insert tab.
Far right hand side, Symbol.
Choose whatever font you're using.
And then in the Subset drop-down, choose either Greek or down to mathematical operators.
Choose Sigma, click insert.
And that works.
Or check out this crazy one.
On the Insert tab, underneath the Equation.
There is a bunch of equations that have a Sigma.
But all the way down at the bottom there's something called Ink Equation.
And just very carefully do your best to draw a Sigma.
And it figures it out.
And you can Insert.
It ends up as a little text box there and you can change the font.
You're going to think I'm crazy, but It's just easier to learn =UNICHAR(931) F9, Enter.
