Hi! everyone

I'm just a newbie in the office and I was assigned to do some tasks within Excel about calculating the demand for each PO of product in one week.

and I have to manually SUM demand for each PO which is a massive amount.

Then could you please find some formula "How to sum the massive numbers in different ranges and put the results in specified cells".

Please find more details in the photo.

As you can see in the column L, I want to Sum Demand in each product (white cell) to Yellow cell.

Anyone could help me?

do all the "white" cells already have values in them? Do all the cells that are "Item PO no. #" have the same PO number in each section?

Hi awoohaw. Some white cells already have the values like the cell L36.

And Item PO no. are all different PO numbers.

Thank you for your reply fell free to ask more information

So what is the differentiator in determining where to start a new summation group? (How do you know to total only cells (L14:L30) and cells (L6:L12)?

Sorry, yesterday I was already off the office. As you can see I will start a new summation group when reach the new product code (every yellow cells or on E3,E13,E31,and E35)

Am I answer correct?

I understood that. But how do you determine your groups? Do you just pick a random row to do a summation?

Please provide an actual example? (anonymized for personal information).

Using SUBTOTAL and SUM may help.
For each yellow cell, from bottom to top, try : SUBTOTAL*2 - SUM
