Trying to sum total hours by person. However the names are not in the same order. They are on the same sheet same workbook. So I want to lookup the name in col a, get the persons total from column g, however the person is not on the the same row. So i need a formula to look up the total from the correct row.
Thanks for the help !

Excel Facts

Which lookup functions find a value equal or greater than the lookup value?
MATCH uses -1 to find larger value (lookup table must be sorted ZA). XLOOKUP uses 1 to find values greater and does not need to be sorted.
How about
Excel Formula:
=SUMIFS($G$3:$G$13,$A$3:$A$13,A17)
