How to share part of workbook

Here is my sample data. I want the sales rep can only see their own records and update the status in the third column. I tried the workbook share option. It seems that all sales reps can access the workbook at the same time but also see other's record. Any sugguestion?

use separate workbooks for each rep.

Thanks for the reply. I thought of that. But I am still researching to see whether one workbook would work.

I'm guessing the record locking logic would be horrendous, even if you validated via logon ID. The board has proved that it is easy enough to pull your end data from multiple workbooks, and for you to be able to have a master reference

I use seperate sheets - and on workbook open event it checks the windows username - and unhides the relevant sheet..

Not a perfect solution - but works

And as you said right at the start, when more than one are in there they can see each others sheets

IMHO using a shared workbook for users who should not see what's in the shared workbook is probably the wrong approach. Develop a better strategy for collecting and reporting the data. Excel is not the most secure application anyway - you take a risk even if you try to protect or hide data.
