How to: select line to end of line above

Hi all,

Could anyone please remind me of how I can select my current line / fill to the right only to the end of the line above?

I.e. I have figures in the line above the blank line I'm currently in and I'd like to copy a formula all the way across to the right. But not as far as the whole excel sheet, just as far as there are figures in the line above.

I know this is possible but I've just forgotten how to.

Any help much appreciated!

Thanks,
RTan101

Excel Facts

Will the fill handle fill 1, 2, 3?
Yes! Type 1 in a cell. Hold down Ctrl while you drag the fill handle.
While in the one cell you wish to manipulate: hold SHFT and stay holding, then press UpArrow once + Enter + End + RightArrow once + Enter + DownArrow once, let go of SHFT. The current cells in the row of interest should be selected as far right as there are columns filled in the above row.

Many thanks DRSteele for your solution. It certainly works, however, I am convinced that there is a quicker shortcut to achieving the same end goal.

Not worry, I'll use your method until it comes back to me.
