Hi
I am making charts in excell and when I notice a data point in the chart that I want to examine in the data relative to other values not charted. How can I pinpoint it? Hoverring over the chart gives the number of the point in the series and value but my chart data sets are selected from within a larger range so I would have to do a bit of arithmatic to find it each time. If the info coming from the hover could be changed to cell address that would be usefull.
Any ideas greatly appreciated.
Ed

Excel Facts

Wildcard in VLOOKUP
Use =VLOOKUP("Apple*" to find apple, Apple, or applesauce
In case anyone else is looking for a solution to this, my solution was to fill a series in a column next to the data set then I could easily identify a point in the chart by its series point number.
