how to search value in a matrix?

Hi all

i have this:

A1=Apple with sugar at
A2=Apple with salt at bottom
A3=Chese cream with banana


and in:
h1=1 j1=Apple
h2=2 j2=Chese cream
h3=3 j3=Orange
h4=4 j4=Table


i want in B1 know if A1 start with any value of j if yes put the h column in this case:


A1=Apple with sugar at B1=1
A2=Apple with salt at bottom B2=1
A3=Chese cream with banana B3=2

How to do this?

In B1 enter and copy down:

=LOOKUP(9.99999999999999E+307,SEARCH(" "&$J$1:$J$4&" "," "&A1&" "),$H$1:$H$4)
