I have perused the FAQs, rules, guidelines, etc. How does an OP indicate that the question is answered and help is no longer being solicited?

They just need to post back to the thread to say it's been resolved.
We don't have a system for marking threads as solved.

The reason for not specifically marking a thread as 'solved' or 'closed' is that it is not unusual for a better solution to be published even after an OP has stated that their problem has been answered, & we do not want to discourage such better answers. :)

Of course you were right about not finding this in our Help after the recent forum upgrade. Thanks for bringing that to our attention. (y)

FYI, point 8 of the Guidelines has now been updated to include this information.
