How to protect column in pivot table

Hi

How can i locked a column in pivot table
I have tried tools| protection | protect sheet | (i allow all users of this worksheet to:use auto filter and use pivot table reports)
but when i choosed a differnet value the column expanded again

How can i apply this change for the whole worksheet?

i want to limit the column size since this column contains long text

Uncheck your PivotTable's "AutoFormat table" option.
