Hello, I am currently very new at using excel so I was wondering if anyone could point me in the right direction. I have the following example of my data:

What I am trying to do is to filled out yes or no in the column B based on the data of column A. For example as shown in the picture, A can be "2-7D","none" or "8-3D". What I want is to be able to put "yes" on column B when A is either "2-7D" or "8-3D" and to put "no" when A is "none". Is there a way to do this without the need to input it manually, because my data set is actually very large. I appreciate the help.

Hello Astar!

I am by far no expert on excel, however I have learned some things whilst building a system lately.

I believe the below code should work for you:

=IF(A1="2-7D","Yes",IF(A1="8-3D","Yes",IF(A1="None","No")))

You can just drag this all the way down column B.

Regards,

Adam
