Hi

I want a formula to pick 1st word from the sentence , please help



Jack & Jill = Jack
Please come = Please
Gross Margin = Gross

If the 1st word is Always defined before the 1st space:

Edit: Ooops, hadn't seen jtakw's post.
However, I've included an extra bit so it still returns the first word even if there is only 1 word in the cell.

.. or just
=LEFT(A1,FIND(" ",A1&" ")-1)
