Hello World!

I've a question, I have a spreadsheet where I need to put some information in the cells, like "Type the code here" or "Insert comments here".
I've messed with Comments and Entry messages, but none of them felt right for me.. :(

I wanted to do like those "Old" programs, where before you input the value in the box, it has a grayish text saying what you had to type in there.. You know?

Hope you guys can help me out!

Thanks in advance

Waterfall charts in Excel?
Office 365 customers have access to Waterfall charts since late 2016. They were added to Excel 2019.
Data Validation is a bit narrow at that.. It has an entry message that pops up when you have an active cell..
I've found some workarrounds, but it does not work that well haha

I've found some workarrounds,
What are they?

You may want to consider creating entry forms, where you can control a lot more of that.
Note that will involve a bit of VBA coding, though.

The thing i've found is something like this:
Create a new row and type your comment, resize it to 0.25, select both cells and go to format cells, alignment, and center selection..

It Kinda works.. but it looks weird.

Entry forms you say? Interesting, I'll take a look at it! No problem with Coding, I'm willing to learn it! :)

If you do a Google search on "create entry form in excel", there are some good tutorials that come up.
Good luck!:)
