How to make a sum negative in Excel. So we put a sum function in of checks written.
But of course that's going to show up as positive and that's money coming out of the bank. Press F2 to edit, come back to right before the sum, between the sum and equal sign, and just have a minus sign there.
Click okay. There you are.
