How to make a filter directly affect the graph of source data?

Hi,

I have a problem with a set of data and graphs my colleague has provided me to work with. The arrangement is a spreadsheet of data which links to an intermediate "working spreadsheet" which is then linked to two graphs. These final graphs is what I need to work with. They are simple bar graphs but due to how complicated the data is I cannot overhaul the whole spreadsheet. The source data is is a set of values all showing the same thing but from around 5 different organisations. Until know we looked at the data as a whole, therefore the current setup was sufficient. However we now have to make an addition/adjustment so that we can see the final graphs with respect to each of these groups. Due to confidentiality I can't say too much in terms of the data itself. But to put it simple:

  • I have source data where I can add a filter on one of the columns to show each group separetly
  • This makes no change to the final graphs which the data is fed to
  • I want this to actually make a change
  • What would be the best way to do this?

Thanks!
