Hi there, i am still quite new with excel. I have excel 2010.

I know how to link columns between worksheets but what i want to do is link a column of contents from one worksheet (e.g. WS1) to a column in another worksheet (e.g. WS2). But also i want to link a column of varying background colors from yet another worksheet (e.g. WS3) to the same column in WS2.

So the content in column in WS2 is the content from WS1 but the background colors in column in WS2 is the background colors from WS3.

Hopefully i have explained it clear enough!

regards,

:)

Did you know Excel offers Filter by Selection?
Add the AutoFilter icon to the Quick Access Toolbar. Select a cell containing Apple, click AutoFilter, and you will get all rows with Apple
Sorry, I don't think there is any way to easily link colours from one area to another.
If the colours in the original area are controlled by Conditional Formating, you should be able to replicate that CF in your second area.
If the colurs in the original area are NOT controlled by CF, then you could try Copy, Paste Special, Formats.
