I'm pulling an ID from a seperate Workbook that lists the the IDs in Column D vertically. I have a sheet that I need to copy these ID's to, but the formatting goes horizontally.

For example,

Assignment 1 Assignment 2 Assignment 3, etc
Proc ID1, Date, Analyst Proc ID2, Date, Analyst Proc ID3, Date, Analyst

Is there any way I can copy/paste from the assignment sheet onto my current workbook, but only copying to the Proc ID spot? It would need to paste to every 3 cells and also increase the row reference as I went horizontal? I'm not sure if Paste Special has the ability to skip every 3 cells?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Excel Facts

Show numbers in thousands?
Use a custom number format of #,##0,K. Each comma after the final 0 will divide the displayed number by another thousand
Is this for a macro?

Pastespecial doesn't have the ability to skip columns. You could do three copy\pastes for each row.

I'm trying to figure out the best way to go about this. I think the person that worked this previously did it by hand..........and there are 340 assignments.

I've been trying to use the macro recorder to record my copy/paste and then increase the row count by 1 each time, but there still looks like there would be a lot of manual work writing a macro.

Is there a way to manually copy/paste and have the row increase if your pasting horizontally?

Example

Assignment1
D1, Date, Analyst (Copy This)

Then paste horizontally so D1 increases

Assignment1 Assignment2 Assignment3
D1, Date, Analyst D2, Date, Analyst D3, Date, Analyst

Record a macro where you manually do the steps to copy the three cells and paste them. Do that for two or three rows. Then post the macro here and someone should be able to modify it to loop for all the rows on the source workbook.
