HOw to Import or Migrate Photo Attachment From MS ACCESS to SQL SERVER

Hi friends,

Please I am migrating my Back End MS ACCESS to SQL SERVER. I got a table named 'Barcode' where there's a column with attachment. It contained photo's of my items. While I am trying to migrate to SQL server I am encountering issues. After Search through the net it seems as if this can't be done by simply importing the attachment.

Can anybody help me on this issues please. Thank you

this isn't that hard. They are stored in what, an OLE object type in MS Access? and in MSSQL, you have your choice of these data types:

'Image' (which is basically depecrated.
'Varbinary(max)' which is the best way moving forward.

With MSSQL, you can even store these objects (which appear to live in a SQL Server table) inside of the FileSystem. This allows you do to stuff like run antivirus and things like that, POSSIBLY you could run Windows Server Deduplication, I don't know.
