Friends i have a .txt file which contains many columns of data and i want to import only the selected part of data from that .txt file. Is it possible to do that. Normally i first go in data tab in excel then i click on from text button to import the data of .txt file, but this imports all data of .txt file. On the other hand i want only the selected part of data to be imported in excel sheet. please help me in this regard. thanks a lot.

What is the last column in Excel?
Excel columns run from A to Z, AA to AZ, AAA to XFD. The last column is XFD.
What do you mean by "selected part"? How exactly is it being "selected"?
I would probably just import the whole thing to Excel and then proceed to delete the parts that you do not want.
