Dear sir/madam,

I like to identify differently spelled supplier names within a colum. To point out my question I have the following data attached;

Colum one Colum two
Supplier name Remark
' T BAGETJE
' T WISSEL
"DE TUINMANSWONING" H. WIEGEL
"G" BOWLEN AMSTERDAM NOORD
(Compagnon) IFN Finance B.V. Double
Compagnon Double
***B.V. v/d Fa. H. de Vries
XERIO Double
***S.V. Voorwaarts***
*Verzinkerij van Aert Produkti
.XERIO GROEP Double

Colum one are all the suppliers and whenever a good match (arbitrair) can be made I like to state a remark in the second colum which indicates a (possible) match.

Thank you in advance!

Bye

PowerPivot doesn't offer anything new for dealing with these sorts of problems. This is inherently a data cleaning problem, and is something we would attack in the underlying databases rather than in PowerPivot itself. That may not be an option for you of course, but PowerPivot isn't any better than normal Excel at data cleaning.
