I have a spread sheet with several formulas when the formula is not being used the cell displays #value ... how can i hide this till a value is added?

How can you turn a range sideways?
Copy the range. Select a blank cell. Right-click, Paste Special, then choose Transpose.
Try wrapping the whole formula in an IFERROR function, i.e.
Code:
=IFERROR([I][COLOR=#ff0000]your formula here[/COLOR][/I],"")
So this tells it that if the formula returns an error, show nothing.
