How to 'hide/disable' a TreeView Control in 64 bits versions of Excel?

Greetings,

I have a workbook which contains a Form with the TreeView control.

Alas, the 64 bit version of excel 2010 does not support the common controls (reference): So when the workbook is opened on such system, an error is displayed which is worrisome for users.

A) Is it possible to detect if Excel is running the 64 bits edition?

B) Knowing that the workbook is on a 64 bits version, HOW could I 'disable' either the Form or the TreeView control, so that it does NOT cause an error when opened on such versions? Is this even possible?

THANK you for your help!!

Does the VLOOKUP table have to be sorted?
No! when you are using an exact match, the VLOOKUP table can be in any order. Best-selling items at the top is actually the best.
ok I think I figured A - by using Win32 or Win64 constants...

As for B, I had an alternative idea...
If I could create the TreeView control at run time, it would be possible to completely avoid the Error report of Excel 64 bits, as the control would not exist upon opening the workbook!!

So is it possible to add a TreeView control dynamically?
From the searching I did, it seems it might be possible, but you would not able to handle any events from the TreeView control...

Any help would be greatly appreciated here!

Oh and by the way, having TWO versions of the workbook is not a solution, as that would double my workload (the workbook is updated all the time)

Any ideas?
