how to get the date they updated it

I thought this was working to give today's date when they updated the form, but then when they opened it

 =IF(OR($E24<>"",$F24<>0),NOW(),"")

The NOW() function will always return the current date/time.
You cannot lock it down.

If you want to do a Date/Time stamp, you need to use VBA.

It works when i use 6 but when i enter data in collumn 7 it doesn't work


solved when I changed it to

     If Target.Column = 6 Or Target.Column = 7 Then

Each side of the "OR" needs to be a complete statement, i.e.

If Target.Column = 6 Or Target.Column = 7 Then
