How to get relative worksheet references when copying links in Excel?

Workbook2 tabs for each day (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4…) has the same format/layout and links to specific cells in Workbook1 using relative references so if I insert a column or row in Workbook1 the data in Workbook2 doesn’t lose its refence.

Here’s my challenge.

I create the links in Workbook2 on the first day tab (i.e. 1) that are linked to the first day tab (i.e. 1) in Workbook1 and it works. Now I copy all of the data from Workbook2 1 tab to 2 tab, 3 tab, etc. and this works fine, but the tab 2, tab 3, tab 4, etc. all reference the data in Workbook1 tab 1. I then have to manually use find/replace on each tab in Workbook2 to reference the correct tab in Workbook1. Very time consuming.

How can create the link to automatically change to reference the corresponding tab in Workbook2 when I copy the data from one tab to another?

I’ll stay tuned… thanks

Nick

Looks like I didn't post my complete question...

I have two workbooks and I’m linking some of the data from Workbook1 to Workbook2. Both workbooks have tabs for each day of the month (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4…). Workbook1 is the user input sheet and Workbook2 is the data repository sheet for the input data from Workbook1.

Workbook2 tabs for each day (i.e. 1, 2, 3, 4…) has the same format/layout and links to specific cells in Workbook1 using relative references so if I insert a column or row in Workbook1 the data in Workbook2 doesn’t lose its refence.
