I am trying to achieve one operation in which I am using if formula and and condition is true then latest date should be populate but date is keep changing everyday

Ex:
So Not Ready ---> Ready on today == 19 Dec
If nothing changes ---> 19 Dec should not change
If again it goes to Not ready ---> No date should be there and 19 Dec to be deleted
And then if Not ready ---> Ready on 20 Dec , it should show 20 Dec

Excel Facts

Format cells as time
Select range and press Ctrl+Shift+2 to format cells as time. (Shift 2 is the @ sign).
A cell contain either a formula or a hard-coded value, but never the both at the same time.
If you use the NOW() function, it will ALWAYS return the current date and time and never be frozen.

The most common way to "freeze" the date if you want something automated (and not enter it manually) is to use VBA.
You can have VBA change the formula to a hard-coded value upon some event happening, like you enter a specific value in another cell.

If you would like to do this, please provide a detailed example, including range addresses and when exactly a value should be locked.

If you wish to enter the current date and not have it be volatile, then click on the following Ctl + Semicolon simultaneously

I believe they are trying to use a formula, not hard code it manually.
