How to format dates and using cubevalue formula

Hi All,

I am having issues using the Cubevalue formula in Excel to pull data from powerpivot.

Currently, I have a Data Entry sheet in excel where transactions are entered daily. Once the data entry is done, I update/refresh powerpivot, which captures everything in ledger format.

I am using the Cubevalue formula in order to pull daily detail from PowerPivot. I am having issues with dates. Currently, they are entered as MM/DD/YYYY. If I manually enter the date and pont the formula to it, it won't pull any data. If I paste the date from powerpivot, it seems to work. I've tried different formats but can't get it.

In essence, I'd like someone without any powerpivot knowledge to be able to maintain this file and simply update dates manually. Has anyone encountered something like this?

Appreciate any insight.
