I want to find out the number of overlapping dates from a range of dates. I saw a solution posted here; Check if two ranges of dates overlap [Excel Formulas] | Chandoo.org - Learn Microsoft Excel Online but that just shows whether the date ranges overlap and not the duration. I can't seem to figure out a simple formula that returns the number of overlapping days in case of overlap. Preferably without vba because in some computers in my office they don't allow running macros.

Sample of the data is posted below;

Excel Facts

When they said...
When they said you are going to "Excel at life", they meant you "will be doing Excel your whole life".
I tried searching this forum also and while there are solutions to identifying whether overlap exists I can't find any that finds out the overlapping duration as well.
